Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center

Our custom millwork, casework and solid surface capabilities helped enhance the overall experience in this state-of-the-art medical facility.

As part of an extensive renovation of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Stanton Millworks designed and fabricated custom architectural elements that improved functionality in patient spaces as well as contributed to the warm, calming look and feel of this restorative environment.

Our scope of work included:

  • Custom architectural design elements to adorn a new reception area with backlit animal characters
  • Custom millwork throughout the new Kaleidoscope cafe, including radiused wall caps and cladding
  • Bamboo paneling in corridors and other pedestrian areas
  • Solid surfaces, casework and cabinetry throughout exam rooms, office spaces and reception areas

Meticulous planning for quality craftsmanship

Given work was completed in an active hospital, in high-traffic areas that typically accommodate not only patients and their families but also medical professionals and hospital personnel, our work required the highest level of coordination and control.

All custom elements were designed and fabricated in our shop, then transferred and installed with care and precision. For more complex design features, such as radiused niches, corners, and circular kaleidoscope details at the cafe, flawless measuring and production were essential to ensure a smooth installation. Through careful planning, phasing and logistical management, we met every deadline without interrupting critical hospital operations.
