Stanton Millworks delivered high-end woodwork that both improved functionality and contributed to the unbeatable experience of this marquee sports venue.

To accommodate a rapidly growing international tennis tournament—the Cincinnati Open—the Lindner Family Tennis Center trusted Stanton Millworks to design, fabricate and install a variety of custom wood elements that brought both functional ease and stunning aesthetics to the new and renovated spaces. Through our proven process, unmatched precision and quality craftsmanship, we created an environment that continues to wow both athletes and spectators alike.

Our scope included:

  • A new clubhouse, featuring a main lobby, concierge desk, monumental staircase, architectural slat wall, and golf and tennis pro shops
  • A state-of-the-art expo kitchen
  • A high-end lounge with a variety of custom decorative elements and two TV walls featuring 18 screens 
  • An expanded center court area, including new men’s and women’s locker rooms, players tunnels, wellness and weight rooms and luxury suites
  • A new operations building with additional office space

Strategic coordination and constant collaboration

The scope of this project was vast, doubling the tennis center’s footprint to 40 acres, and the timeline for completion was rigidly tight. In order to meet the unmovable deadline—the 2025 Cincinnati Open—we moved from contract execution to final installation within six months. Achieving this feat required constant communication and collaboration not only among our team but with the various contracted partners working alongside us. Perhaps the clearest example of the level of coordination required was in the commercial kitchen, where we installed a custom wood tambour and stone expo wall fitted not only around MPE infrastructure but also commercial-grade cooking appliances and equipment. Given the tight timeline, there was no room for error, so we broke the installation into phases and held all-hands-on-deck meetings ahead of each phase to ensure efficient and flawless execution.
